Descents of the old Rhone
LA BIVOUAC 'WATER' LAKE
Departing from the Aqualoisirs base in Seyssel, first you will sail on the Rhone in the heart of the reserve Natura 2000 where you will enjoy wild beaches for picnics. Lots of different birds and the mysterious beaver of Europe live in the reserve Nautra 2000 of Malourdie’s isles.
You will reach Chanaz and will discover the Savoy village, its base and its houses on stilts. The “little Savoyard Venice” will seduce you with its authenticity and will open its doors during your bivouac in the camping.
The next day, you will sail on the ancestral Savières canal which will guide you, after 4 km, on the transparent waters of the Bourget lake, biggest lake in France. Bathing and leisure will be your schedule before reach the little village of Conjux and its natural beach.
