THE SAVIERE

Departing from Seyssel, you will sail on the old Rhone in the heart of the reserve Natura 2000 and will join the village of Chanaz situated on the edges of the Savières Canal. During the descent, you will find some beaches to picnic. Lots of different birds and the mysterious beaver of Europe live in the reserve Nautra 2000 of Malourdie isles.

You will join Chanaz and will discover the Savoy village, its base and its houses on stilts. The “little Savoyard Venice” will seduce you with its authenticity and will open its doors during your bivouac in the camping.

You will take place on “the Savoyard” 1 or 2, cruise boat of the “Bateau Canal” company, for a boat tour from the Savière Canal to the lake of the Bourget! When you will return to Chanaz, our mini-bus will take you back to the Aqualoisirs base in Seyssel.

• Duration : 

  • Around 4 hours (18 km) for the descent of the old Rhone with canoe kayak.

  • Around 1h15 for the stroll in the pleasure boat on the Saviere canal and the Bourget lake
     

• Level :

  • Intermediary level (We recommend to have already ride a canoe kayak one time before)
